Building Inclusive Healthcare: Symposium DSFI with KGMU
As part of our Annual Conference, the Down Syndrome Federation of India (DSFI) is delighted to collaborate with King George’s Medical University (KGMU) for the 1st National Interprofessional Health Care Symposium being held on 13 September 2025 at Lucknow.
This unique symposium, with the theme “Collaborative Care: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Special Needs Dental Patients”, brings together leading doctors, specialists, and healthcare professionals to discuss how different disciplines can work together to provide better healthcare for individuals with special needs.
DSFI will be represented by Dr. Nidhi Gupta, Consultant Endodontist and Director of Smile Special, New Delhi, and Dr. M. Pradeep Kumar, Consultant Clinical Geneticist from Coimbatore. Both will contribute their expertise and insights to highlight the importance of holistic healthcare, early interventions, and practical approaches that can make a real difference in the lives of persons with Down syndrome and other special needs.
Events like this not only spread awareness among the medical community but also ensure that the specific health concerns of persons with special needs are addressed with compassion and collaboration.
At DSFI, we believe that creating such platforms for knowledge sharing is vital to our mission of building a more inclusive society—one where individuals with Down syndrome receive the care, respect, and opportunities they deserve.
