Aasman Humaara hai: 7th edition of IIDSC in the pink city!

The 7th India International Down Syndrome conference was organised from 14-17 September. This is a yearly conference and the flagship event of Down Syndrome Federation of India. It reinforces the idea that ‘sky is not my limit’. When given the right opportunities, a customised learning experience that suits their needs- children and adults with Down Syndrome can truly prove that ‘Aasman humaara hai’. With doctors, experts and who’s who of special education and pathology for those blessed with Down Syndrome, the conference was a one of a kind learning experience for parents and siblings. Genetics, ENT, Vision, endocrinology, mental health- these are but some of the topics that the sessions were about. The conference had an action packed line-up with a lot of sessions, cultural events that gave a platform to self advocates from across the country. DSFI Excellence Awards 2023 sponsored by Babli Foundation and Aarna Foundation were given to those with exemplary contributions to the community.
